Privacy policy

Data controller

The controller for data processed on this website is Antonis Katsonis, Omirou 33, 7102 Larnaca, Cyprus, email hello@cypruscalc.com. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use cypruscalc.com, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Cyprus Law 125(I)/2018.

The calculators

The calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to a server of ours, are not stored and are not linked to you. There are no user accounts and no sign-up forms.

The “Share link” button creates an address that contains the values you entered, so the calculator opens pre-filled. If you share that link, whoever receives it sees those values. Whether and with whom you share it is your choice.

Hosting and technical data

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. Like any web server, Cloudflare briefly processes your IP address, browser type and the address of the page requested in order to deliver the page and block attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Technical logs are kept by Cloudflare for a few days and are not used to identify you. Cloudflare is bound by EU data processing terms and standard contractual clauses for any transfer outside the EEA.

To see which pages are used we run Cloudflare Web Analytics: it counts visits, pages, country, device type and the site you came from, without cookies, without device identifiers and without following you to other websites. We use no Google Analytics or other tracking tools, and we set no cookies of our own. Google's advertising script is loaded on the site, which is covered under Advertising below. Fonts are served from our own domain, not from Google.

Advertising

No advertisements are shown on the site yet: no ad slots are configured, so there is nothing to display. The Google AdSense script is already loaded on every page, because Google requires it to be in place while it reviews the site, and that script can set cookies or read device identifiers. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet; how Google uses that information is set out at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent through Google's consent message before any personalised advertising is used, in line with GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive; without consent only non-personalised advertising is shown. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time through "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page, which appears once advertising is running. You can also opt out of personalised advertising by Google at adssettings.google.com and by other vendors at www.aboutads.info/choices and www.youronlinechoices.eu.

Links to third parties

Pages link to official sources (Tax Department, Social Insurance Services, EAC and others) and to a few partners (affiliate links, marked as such). When you click such a link you leave cypruscalc.com and the privacy policy of the site that opens applies. Affiliate links may record that you arrived from us so that a commission can be attributed. No personal data about you is passed to us.

Contacting us

If you email hello@cypruscalc.com, we process your address and the content of your message only to reply (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Messages are deleted at the latest twelve months after the last exchange, unless needed for legal reasons.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection, and to withdraw any consent. Write to hello@cypruscalc.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection of Cyprus (dataprotection.gov.cy).
