About CyprusCalc
CyprusCalc is a set of free calculators for the everyday numbers of life in Cyprus: pay, tax, car, property, electricity, loans. Greek first, with an English edition for the many people who live here without speaking the language.
Who makes it
Antonis Katsonis, from Larnaca. CyprusCalc is a personal project, not a company, an accounting firm or a bank. It started from a simple annoyance: to find out what is left of your salary or what the Land Registry will charge, you had to dig through five websites or ask an accountant.
Contact: hello@cypruscalc.com. The operator's full details are on the imprint page linked in the footer.
Where the numbers come from
Every rate (tax bands, contribution percentages, ceilings, fees) is copied from the competent authority's own publication: the Tax Department, Social Insurance Services, EAC, the Department of Lands and Surveys, the Road Transport Department, the Central Bank. Where the law changed recently, as with the 2026 tax reform, the published analyses of the large audit firms are used as well.
Every calculator lists its sources and the date it was last checked at the bottom of the page. If a source is not named, the number should not be there.
How the results are checked
Each calculator ships with examples that have a known answer, the kind an accountant would work by hand or that banks publish. The examples re-run automatically every time something on the site changes; if a number does not come out, the change is not published. The first example of each calculator is shown on its page.
Even so, the results are estimates. Your own case may have details the calculator does not ask about. For decisions involving significant sums, confirm with an accountant, a lawyer or the competent authority.
How it stays free
The site asks for no sign-up, stores none of the amounts you type and sells no data. It is funded by unobtrusive advertising and by partner links (for example money transfer services) that are clearly marked as such. No partner influences the calculations or the results.
Found an error?
Send the page, your example and the source you believe applies to hello@cypruscalc.com. Corrections usually go live the same week and the calculator's checked date is updated.
